This is a static site. It has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising pixels, and Jewel Labs sets no cookies of its own. The embedded booking calendar is provided by Cal.com and is described below.

The email box

The waitlist field runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted and nothing is stored. It shows a confirmation and the address is discarded when you leave the page. If you want to reach us, email soj5@cornell.edu.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which processes the technical details of your request, including your IP address, the page requested and your browser type, as ordinary server logging. Vercel acts as our processor.

Fonts

Typefaces load from Google Fonts. Requesting a font sends your IP address and browser details to Google. We receive nothing from this and set no cookie through it.

The booking calendar

The calendar in the contact section is provided by Cal.com and is embedded in the page, so it loads when you reach that part of the site. Cal.com receives your IP address, may set its own cookies or browser storage, and receives whatever you enter into the booking form, typically your name, email address and any note you add. That data is held by Cal.com and by us, and is used to arrange the meeting. Our profile on LinkedIn is a plain link that opens in a new tab.

Email you send us

If you write to us we hold that message and your address so we can reply, for as long as the conversation is live and up to twenty four months after the last contact.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, the UK, California or a comparable jurisdiction you can ask for a copy of anything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to soj5@cornell.edu and we will act within thirty days. We do not sell personal information.
